This one cracks me up. Strict big sister Charlotte trying to get reluctant Caroline to be with her for a picture.

I don’t know how to capture her sweetness. Maybe I need to take more videos (but whenever she notices that I’m taking a video, she stops whatever she’s doing to come & see). These photos are already a few months old, but better late than never.
Checking out the McGowans’ baby girl (their 3rd child).
Caroline has been the easiest one to get down for naps and bedtime. She is an easygoing girl for the most part and really loves her family. She is great at being reverent and folding her arms for prayers. She doesn’t mind when other people besides her own parents hold her. She’s now almost 22 months old, but my favorite words when she was around 18 months old (about the time of these photos) were:
“uh-oh”= binky
“Coco!” = going to Cohen’s (neighbor’s) house
“MmHMM!” = emphatic yes
“I do! I do! I do!”
“La-la”= Charlotte
“Zase” = Chase
“Eeeeeeeeew guh-koh! = ew gross
“Dop.” = stop
“DAD! Watch.” = (when she’s doing a trick)
“Doo.” = I want to nurse.
“Cuuuuuute!” = Cute (in a high-pitched voice) when she sees the little rabbit on her onesie
“Gary! Gary!” = Scary! (shakes her head & holds her hands clasped at her chest)
“I do it.” = (said emphatically)
“Run.” = she really likes to run
“Ba-kah” = Grandpa or Grandma
“I sah-ee” = I’m sorry
“Come.” = (big gesture with her arm)
(Mouth in “O” shape for a long time)
Charlotte helped fold some towels. She was excited to learn how to fold laundry and to help me out. Sometimes I forget that kids don’t automatically know how to do things like fold laundry. I must teach them while they’re young, so they can be my good little slaves…. I mean, helpers.
Love those bright baby blues!
Caroline was upset at me for washing her blankie, so I had to photograph the sweet reunion they had after the difficult time of separation.
We had 2nd cousins Jessica & Katelin sleep over a couple weeks ago. They are such fun & energetic girls, yet also very obedient and well-behaved. It was fun to have them over even though Chase and Katelin kept each other up till 10pm, just chatting away. My kids were so excited because right before the girls came over to spend the night, we went and picked out some gummy candy at the store to share with our guests.
I love this succession of photos that Pace took of Chase pushing Caroline around (and how she’s oblivious to how much strain this activity is putting on Chase):
When I was looking through our recent photos, I realized that I had taken a lot of Pace and the little girls together. I guess it’s because I don’t think there is anything in this world sweeter than a good daddy spending time with his little girl(s).
Chase quizzing Caroline about what she can say
Just wanted to share these awesome moments. They grow up so fast!
We were just about to leave to make it on time for 9am church at my parents’ ward. I walked out the front door to find Pace doing a photo shoot of the girls. Go, Pace! Outfits courtesy of their stylish Grandma T.
Caroline’s day-old hairstyle looks like Cindy Lou Who hair, but don’t worry, I fixed it before church.
Sorry, WAY too many photos of myself, I know. But in the one below Caroline is actually smiling for the camera! Must include it!!
This is a public park somewhat close to my parents’ house, which we must visit every time we’re in town!! It’s extra special because it’s a park I used to play at when I was little (although it wasn’t quite as fancy back then as it is now).
“Swing us around, Daddy!!”
Alright, you asked for it…

“Again! Again!!!”
(Such a fun guy. Tires me out just to look at these photos.)
