We haven’t tried very hard to get Charlotte potty trained, we usually wait till the kid shows interest. Charlotte has not. HOWEVER, she has started lifting her dress and secluding herself, so I think she will soon be wondering how to keep the poop off her. I find it very entertaining, so here is a video of it.
Pillow Pit of DOOM!!!
Saturdays at our house are awesome. The kids are so excited to hang out with Daddy who doesn’t have to work. Most of the time I handle the extra attention all day long fairly well. I try to throw in a trip to Home Depot as often as I can. Last week Chase had more energy than I could keep up with so we created the PILLOW PIT OF DOOM! We gathered 95% of the pillows in the house and made our own safe jumping area. The kids enjoyed doing a show for Mommy while dad was announcing with his circus voice (I don’t know why I just changed to third person there). They did the show again that night for Casey and Jessica. Enjoy the videos, circus voice not captured in videos, sorry.
Best Day Ever!
It snowed a lot. We built a snow slide.
Then we added a jump
Then Chase declared to the world, “BEST DAY EVER!“
Charlotte has been watching Chase very closely, and she’s done the math. Chase has lots more fun jumping off things with only a small percentage ending up in painful tears. So she has decided to join the circus and loves to jump off things and try other tricks. Usually she’ll let Chase test it out first, but sometimes, like this one, she sets it up all on her own. (Check out the face plant at 22 secs)
Charlotte LOVES LOVES LOVES Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. She will frequently try to sing the theme song (“Come Inside, it’s fun inside”) and will usually just go around saying “Mi Mouse… Hu House”. This video shows her Mi mouse huh house dance; oh and every time the camera comes out she wants to see what we’re filming.
Charlotte has become very aware of when she gets touched at anytime by Chase, it then becomes pushing or hitting, something worthy of her repeating it many many times. We also got a cute one of her dancing… I’ll have to find where that one went.
We got some blind out curtains from IKEA to put into the kids rooms. These things are AWESOME! For Charlotte’s 1pm naptime, we close those curtains and it becomes 8:30pm. I love, love, love them. And in the morning, they don’t always sleep longer, but they have been asleep MORE often lately when I leave for work. So if the kids are waking up too early or nap time is just torture, check out TUPPLUR curtains from IKEA, or make your own. They will help out tons! And IKEA has toys:
