This McBlog is kinda… slow, it’s like you’ve had a baby or something… how about some new content, and where’s a new McVideo for crying out loud!?

Electronic Wasteland
Great stuff here in this video, unfortunately Al Gore hasn’t come up with a solution to this one. Any ideas? Stop buying electronics…. hmm… investigate every recycle company? In my opinion, this shouldn’t be a problem. Create a place that properly recycles things and people won’t mind paying a little bit to take there stuff there, especially after watching this. Anyone want to start a e-recycling business with me?
Oh What’s in a Name?
We did not have a hard time coming up with Chase’s name before he was born. We actually knew he would be “Chase” by the time I was 6 months along. However, we have found it difficult to name this little girl who will be born NEXT MONTH (weird)!
As for me, I like feminine names that are not too common, but that are still somewhat common– meaning they’re not in any top 10 lists but still in the top 100s. We do like the name Ava, but her name will not be Ava because it’s in a lot of states’ top 5 lists, and I don’t want there to be 4 Avas in our daughter’s kindergarten class along with her.
We may come up with the perfect name soon enough, but it’s likely that we just won’t tell anyone until she’s born because then it will be DONE and FINAL. That way, hopefully people will be LESS likely to give their negative opinions about the name (there will always be someone who dislikes the name chosen)! Although we really don’t know yet what we will name her, I just like browsing the Social Security website and all the different name lists they have from the last several years.
Here’s one of the lists, if you’re interested (notice how often “Ava” shows up on there– surprising! also notice how many more traditional boy names there are still around, versus the girl names).
Racism still alive?
Vote for issues, not for young vs. old, white vs. black, or any other classifications. A president should be the voice of the people not the face of the people. Hope you didn’t miss the deadline to register to vote.. like me… have fun voting everyone.
STINKTOWELS
I just have a question for you folks. Does anyone know how to freshen up the towels in the house? Our kitchen hand towels smell dingy/metallic/yucky, even after they’ve just been washed. I can’t stand it because after I dry my hands, they smell gross just like the towels do, even though I have just washed with yummy hand soap from Bath and Body Works. Sad! I do keep towels hanging up so they can air out and aren’t lying in a clump all day… I thought at first that it was because our towels were getting old, but shortly after I bought some new ones, they started to stink, too. I looked online, and some advice said to wash the towels in vinegar, but that hasn’t gotten rid of the odor of those dingy kitchen towels. Solutions?
Baby Girl Clothes???…
Yesterday we had Brad and Tiffany over for dinner, and they gave us a a cozy pair of purple baby girl pajamas– thanks, guys! I admitted to Tiffany a little later that I feel somewhat intimidated when I check out baby girl clothes in stores! It could be because there is such a large selection, or because I am just used to boy stuff now, or maybe it’s because there’s a lot that seems too over the top in my mind. I kind of like how boy stuff is so basic and has plain designs and patterns, like little stripes and trucks. I think my favorite things to see on girl clothes are ice cream cones, cupcakes, and apples– foody items! But I don’t like things that are too floofy or frilly; just plain, classic types of clothing are the cutest to me. I also like outfits that make baby girls look like classic little ladies, such as Baby Gap-style clothing. I came across the little hat in the above picture, and thought that is the cutest thing ever (Katelyn and Co.)! So I do like girl clothes, I guess it’s just harder to weed out what I like and what I don’t compared to the boy stuff… Anyway, just thought I’d throw that out there to help sort out my thoughts and “fears”! 🙂
I’m Pace and I’m a PC… oh wait I use a mac all day at work… but I love my PC at home… what am I!? I’m so confused….
Very catchy song
Thanks McGrandaddy
Buyer Beware
Couldn’t get this one embedded with out some hacking, and i didn’t feel like doing that. So just go to the link and watch it, it could save you thousands and even your life. I’m going home and checking the tires I just bought right after work.
http://abcnews.go.com/video/playerIndex?id=4826897
It’s an ABC special about the number codes on tires, and how they tell you when the tire was made. Some retailers including Sears and Walmart are selling 7+ year old tires as new. What’s the problem with that? Studies show that the rubber on tires begins to break down after 6 years. Watch it, check em, and be safe! Thanks for this one Grandpa.
Stealing is a sin and a crime!
A 36-year-old man who bought a hamburger and fries also wanted a cup of water. But police say he filled his cup with carbonated soda.
The manager told the man to pay up. When he wouldn’t, the manager yanked his cup and tried to stop him. Police say the man hit the manager in the jaw and threw his burger in the manager’s face.
The suspect later was arrested and charged with felony robbery.
Dad, good thing that guy didn’t press charges when you ate some of his fries, when you thought his tray was yours. 🙂
