Well, it looks like I might NOT be getting my hair highlighted. Thanks to those of you who have voted at our little voting station. I have been debating for a few months now about this issue. You have swayed me, at least for the moment. Why have I been wanting highlights, you ask? Well first of all, I normally get natural highlights from spending time out in the summer sun, but this summer I didn’t stay outside much at all because I’ve heard that babies (ie Chase) can get sunburned quite easily even with sunscreen. So my hair color is quite dark, I feel. Also, I am tired of the same general color I’ve had my whole life; I want a change, and also I like the look of lighter hair with lighter skin like mine. Plus, I think blonde hair is stunning but there’s no way I would ever completely dye my hair, and I wouldn’t look good blonde anyway. But hey, let’s face it, when a guy sees a blonde girl from a distance, he generally thinks she’s hot even if he can’t really see her face, but a brunette doesn’t catch his eye quite as easily. At least that’s what I have observed. Not that I’m trying to impress guys, just my husband, but maybe he would like my hair better with highlights even though he claims he wouldn’t. I think he just doesn’t want me to spend money on it and be stuck in a never-ending cycle of paying for touch-ups every 2 months or so, even if it is just at a local beauty school. But the money issue really does affect my current decision, since we’re moving and I would rather spend that money on things for the house. So anyway, for now it’s a no-no. But we’ll see what I think tomorrow. Let’s hear some comments from anyone who actually read through this post!

Are you for real!?
Have you ever seen a picture or video and you think, wow howd that happen? or that’s one lucky photographer to catch that scene as it happened! or Wow that celeb looks better/worse than yesterday… well you’re probably right. Photoshop fools many people a day, including magazine & newspaper editors. Here is a great story on CNET that gives some great examples; I really enjoyed it. So next time you get the amazing shot of the week in your junk mail, just remember that Adobe is very proud of their lead photo editing software.
This lead me to thinking, who can I trust now? If I can’t trust pictures from high profile magazines and news stations.. I’ll have to start thinking on my own! We all will continually have to ask, is that really possible? Could those two people have really meet each other, and why would they? Why would the shark have attacked the helicopter? Oh darn you photoshop for making my brain have to think about every one of the thousands of images it sees each day. Just a warning to everyone, the phrase “seeing is believing” is no longer true. I guess we’ll all depend on faith now!
Will Survivor survive this one?
SEPT 14th 8pm (eastern)
Well, it has nearly arrived. The next season of Survivor is just around the corner, beginning September 14th on CBS and entitled “Survivor 13: Cook Islands“. Watch out for this one, because there’s no doubt that it will be messy. I say this because the tribes will be divided by… guess what… you’ll never guess… ethnicity! Yikes. I am feeling, now more than ever, that I have no desire to be on the show. The apparent tribe names (I’m not sure if they’re official) are: The Asian-Americans, the African-Americans, the Whites (why aren’t we the European Americans?), and the Hispanics (and the South American Americans?).
The “White” tribe? Not very politically correct! I’m offended. Who else is offended? 😮 This racial division thing could be a good move on the part of the producers or whoever decides on tribe division, I guess because people might want to see which race does better. But above all, I think it will offend a lot of people and start lots of fights. Maybe Survivor won’t survive.
Tell us what you think about it, and you could use this link to tell CBS what you think about it, like I did.
Tastes Like Chicken
Today I was eating chicken, and while doing so, the image of a dead chicken popped into my mind, and it tasted really gross to me at that moment. I don’t recommend doing that while eating chicken or any type of meat.
CAROLINA WINS 1 & 2!!!
Edmonton learned how real hockey players get it done again!! Carolina walks hard for a 5-0 win over the Toilers! If you missed game 1 or 2, you missed one of the best sports events of the year… but don’t worry in hockey we do it at least four times. Catch game 3 Sat night, 8 eastern on NBC!
Carolina to Win Stanley Cup
The Carolina Hurricanes defeated the Buffalo Sabres last night in game 7 of the semi-final series. Claiming the Prince of Whales East Conference Champion trophy. They have also sealed the deal to go to the finals next week to destroy the Edmintin Oilrs. The slick canadian team relies soley on luck to win games, therefore I will predict the Canes will beat them in 5 games or less. Stay tuned to McBlog to see if Carolina can claim the greatest honor in sports, the STANLEY CUP!
Carolina Comeback!
Well, even though I missed watching the game today, I was very excited to see the score of 4-0 in favor of the Canes. Now the series is 2-2 and headed back to Carolina I think. GOOD WORK BOYS! Go meet Anaheim in the Finals! 🙂
UPDATE! CArolina Now leads the series 3-2! GO CANES!
Congrats Hurricanes!
The Canes win game 2 despite the paid off refs! They now have tied the series 1-1. And have inspired us to post the live game updater on the top of the blog…thanks ESPN!! Watch the rest of the series on OLN, or tune into McBlog to keep track of the rest of the Stanley Cup Playoffs! GO HURRICANES!!!!
What’s the Deal!?
Ok, I’m a little peeved off and disappointed. One of McBlog’s biggest fans is doing a serious wrong and I’m here to voice my opinion about it. Ryan Gardner started and operates RyeBrye.com. He has done an amazing job (besides the slow server), and clearly has inspired many people to get online. BUT here is the problem, when you go to RyeBrye.com there is no evidence that Ryan has helped anyone, because the only lnks on his site, are ADS! AND, if you notice, Ryan is the only one in any of the pictures… where’s his wife Aubrey!? I tell you this is a serious offense. Join me in my efforts to make a difference and bring Aubrey to RyeBrye.com.
Loyalty to Sony!
Whenever possible now, this family will be buying Sony electronics. We purchased a cybershot camera off ebay, about three weeks ago I had it in my pocket and while getting out of the car the camera and my thigh produced a pressure crack on the LCD screen. I was very sad, thinking there was no hope of a cheap fix. I looked up Sony’s website to check out the warranty. The product was under some kind of warranty, so I filled out a repair order form thinking I wouldn’t get it for free b/c it was my fault; but they would fix it cheaper than buying a new one. Well, we sent it off to them and they got it on Thursday the 16th, yesterday we got it back completely fixed for no charge! WOW I was shocked, thank you SONY you rock. I was very impressed with the speed and ease of getting our awesome SONY gear fixed.
