A massive cover-up has been discovered at Walmart. Thanks to one honest employee by the name of Chris. Tonight Chris happened to be working the phones and let it slip that they had just recieved some Xbox 360’s. Naturally, I informed Darin and we rushed over. Upon arrival Mike at electronics said he didn’t know anything about it, and some weren’t expected till “later this week”. I said, OH NO YOU DON’T. So with the cell phone my in-laws had gotten me for Christmas I called Chris back right there. He said oh yes a manager said they had some in stock. Then Mike calls up his dark lord sith in training, we’ll just call him evil mexican guy with a strut or emgwas. Emgwas goes to “look” for them and comes back empty handed. I call Chris back again, he is “unable to identify” which manager he talked to. Mike calls the manager on duty and she informs them of other places to look. Emgwas “looks” at these locations and comes back empty handed again. At one point I overheard Mike and Emgwas talking about where to look up the barcode, Mike said why don’t you call home and get the number off of yours.. Therefore, if you want an Xbox360, or any other hard to find cool electronics, just get a job at the Orem Walmart Electronic dept. As a side note, afterwards I bought some milk and in casual talk with the front register lady, I mentioned we got shafted out of our Xbox 360 even though it seemed everyone who worked at Walmart had one. The way she agreed so whole heartedly, I knew she wanted to tell me about the cover up but was being watched. DARN YOU WALMART ELECTRONIC DEPT EMPLOYEES!
In attempts not to join iTunes, CBS is selling Survivor episodes for 1.99 from there own website. Cool, until you read carefully: If you click open and not save you can only watch it one time. And if you do save you can only watch it for 24 hours after downloading. Plus you can’t burn it to a dvd or transfer the file between computers, but wait there is more! The file size is approx. 600MB! For some people that would take 24hours to download. CBS just do yourselves and us a favor and strike a deal with Steve.
Well the votes are in, and the winner is Annapolis! I know, I know.. the movie is called Annapolis, it takes place in America’s elite Naval School. I know the previews showed the struggle of a kid to become an officer. Well this movie isn’t about that. It’s a boxing movie that didn’t get released last year with the rest of the boxing movies, so it needed a front and money from a sponsor. So if you are in the mood for a really good boxing movie, go see Cinderella Man. If you want to see a movie about boxing with lots of really strong people running around, go see Annapolis. Hey Uncle Gary, you’re the only person that I would believe if you told me this place actually runs the way it’s portrayed in the movie. If you see it please let us all know how accurate it is, such as could the kid really almost quit that many times, is the brigade boxing match really that big of a deal, etc.
BYU has discontinued my email. I no longer have access to pace@byu.edu, don’t send any mail there anymore, because I won’t see it. BYU noticing that I’m not registered for classes this semester have cancelled my access to the mail servers. How lame! I mean, can’t the University have enough love to a) give me notice that my account will be shutdown b) just let me keep a byu email address for the rest of my life!? Anyway, good thing paceray@gmail.com and many others will be around forever…. google will be around forever won’t they? Please take note, Grandpa Lipps!
Well Bill, I hope you read this, because I don’t think it was very cool to name your new game system after the number of units you were going to manufacture! I’m tired of asking Walmart employees if they have Xbox 360’s in. Today I was told that I missed them, they had four available on Friday at the Orem store. Hmmm, maybe the sales clerk was just playing with me because when when we went grocery shopping in Springville I asked for curiosity sake (I’m shopping for Darin) and that guy said their store hadn’t had any since Dec… hmmm, looks like by the time you can buy an Xbox 360 for sugg retail price, you’ll be able to buy two Sony Playstation 3s. Therefore, if anyone sees an Xbox 360 in a store, just spit on it for me. (Then call Darin who prob won’t want one by then)
