Pretend you are an athlete

I am curious to know if anyone (that includes everybody) would want to participate in some fantasy football this NFL season. If you have never done something like this it is quite entertaining and makes all the games much more significant other than simply rooting for your favorite team, you instead cheer on individual achievements. The actual process is fairly simple depending on how many people want to play. The group will either decide to hold a mock draft where we all pick players one at a time (but you are not required to do this the computer will choose the best person available automatically) or just let the randomizer organize the teams. Then once everyone has their “teams” each week you decide who is going to “start” and who will be on the bench. IE Peyton Manning and Doug Flutie are on your squad and you decide (wisely) to have Peyton “start” and he throws 4 touchdowns earning you 120 points for that week. It is all quite fun and exciting, and its run through yahoo so they even keep a little “baseball” card of how you do in each league every year for those who play often. If you are interested please tell me here so I can set up the league and let everyone know what to expect. If not you can return to discussing more important things now, thank you for your time.

Carolina to Win Stanley Cup

The Carolina Hurricanes defeated the Buffalo Sabres last night in game 7 of the semi-final series. Claiming the Prince of Whales East Conference Champion trophy. They have also sealed the deal to go to the finals next week to destroy the Edmintin Oilrs. The slick canadian team relies soley on luck to win games, therefore I will predict the Canes will beat them in 5 games or less. Stay tuned to McBlog to see if Carolina can claim the greatest honor in sports, the STANLEY CUP!
