Chevy / GM showed off it’s green thumb at the auto show this year announcing the electric car named ‘Volt‘. The Chevy Volt can go 40 miles with no gasoline, add a lil gas or biodiesel and a small engine recharges the battery allowing you to go 640 miles before having to think about refueling/charging. Wow that is sweet! Too bad it’s only in concept mode now, which means at least 3 years before we see one on the road. And last time someone had an electric car go popular, it mysteriously was yanked off the production line!

Apple Releases Revolutionary Products
Yesterday Apple released the Apple TV product and the iPhone. We luckily had an affiliate at Mac World to give us a first hand report. Exclusively from Josh Porter:
“They did it! Apple made an iPhone! Just as cool, Dad, Ed, and I were among the first public eyes to see it unveiled by the hand of Steve Jobs himself in the Keynote address at MacWorld here in San Fransisco in the Mascone Center! The foyers were filled with giant posters of a silhouetted Apple icon and the logo “The first 30 years were just the beginning. Welcome to 2007.” It was just exciting to walk into the room where a small stage was surrounded by three giant screens with the Apple logo and lots of energy with all 4,000 Mac users in the room, waiting for Steve to come out. An added anticipation was there for this much rumored device over the last year and especially the last few months. When Steve came out, (this was the first time I saw Steve Jobs in person) the crowed cheered and he was very happy to say, “Were going to make history together today.” The crowed cheered even louder. Some guy behgind me said, “Don’t tease me, Steve!” He talked about the iPod growth, then he introduced the Apple TV, and showed us the pretty cool features of it.
Then he mentioned how in 1984, Apple introduced the Macintosh (which presentation I viewed on You Tube just a few days earlier, which was funny to see people’s amazement to what we consider commonplace now..the first consumer GUI[Graphical User Interface] computer.) Then Steve spoke about in 2001 when they introduced the iPod. So he was lining up the history of how Apple has introduced these revolutionary products. It was cool to reiew how they had innovated these products we use now. Then on his Keynote he pulled slide up with the Apple sillotte. Now people were really in suspense. But then he said they were going to unvile three new products today. A new iPod, a Phone (people really cheered…Our hopes and dreams were finally confirmed!), and mobile internet device. Again the crowed cheered. Then he said all three of these new products were in one device!
Best PS3 Preview I’ve seen
Cnet posted a video highlighting the PS3 expo in NY. It’s one of the best REAL previews I’ve seen on the PS3 that is available Nov 17th from 12-12:04am.
Also, if you were one of the unfortunate ones to invest in a core duo from Intel, sorry it’s already out dated. Intel is now shipping the Core Duo Quad. AKA Core Duo Extreme. The core duo made a big splash b/c of it’s speed and the new Core Duo Quad is two Duo’s on one chip. Now that’s fast! Two models will be available later this month, one from Dell and the other from Gateway, starting at 4000 smackers.
Bluetooth too powerful?
Looks like it’s a busy Weds… Ty I look forward to the LOST review tom… I just had to share this article I just read.
Scientists claim that using a bluetooth headset for too long each day can reduce a male’s sperm count and energy… there’s something to think about Jason. 🙂

Internet Destroyer
For those of you who are not willing to switch to Firefox, I understand how you’ve been brainwashed. But thank heaven, the microsoft man has decided finally to release IE7, also known as Firefox 1.0.5. Windows users, click on your microsoft/windows update and let the good times roll. Now you’ll finally be able to see the flash slide shows on this blog….. even though that’s b/c I changed how they were embedded… but the avatars won’t have white squares around them. 🙂
VPU Problems
Hey all you computer people out there. I need some help. I just got Battlefield 2 again after a break, and was making sure eveything was setup correctly by playing a round, when BAM! Long freeze frame, then green squares everywhere. When I exited BF2 I found a VPU recovery screen from ATI. What the heck is the deal!? I downloaded the most recent ATI drivers (6.9) and patched BF2 to 1.4 and tried again today, still no luck. I have an ATI X800 XL PCI. I am running Daemon tools to mount disc 1 for loading, but that shouldn’t matter??? Any ideas?

Secondly, Apple announced a 24 inch imac that’s pretty sweet if you have $2000 bones to burn. And on Tues the 12th they should be announcing new versions of the iPod along with feature film downloads from iTunes music store. I don’t know why on earth you’d want to stare at an iPod for 2 or 3 hours… but maybe some people do. There are tons of rumors flying around, check em out at macrumors.com
My new favorite hobby
Checking out house prices on Zillow.com! It’s sweet, they take public records and recent sales to estimate house prices for any given address. And if the public records are wrong you can edit the specs to match what it actually is and see how much it should be and find comparables. It’s very fun to check out your house, your parents house, your inlaws house…the white house. 🙂 Check it out if you’re bored or shopping for/selling a house.
