Well the worst news ever came from last night’s episode; the season of Lost will
be put on “pause” until the month of February. Its said that this way they can get the good ratings in all the rating months, without running any re-runs in between..
But first. Last week’s episode.

Well Eko died, after searching for his brother in the jungle. It was obviously a hallucination but it was still kinda creepy. We saw many flashbacks of Eko’s life and how he got to be a “priest” why he was building the church on the island, and his history of violence. In the end some huge black cloud ended up picking up Eko and slamming him around.

Second.. There’s another hatch somewhere, with a really creepy looking guy with an eye patch over his eye.
That’s about it for last week.

This week..
1. Jack refused to do surgery on Ben
2. Some weird girl burst into camp shooting a slingshot at the badguys, and then got carried away shouting to Kate about how they’re gonna kill her boyfriend.
3. Kate gets out of her cage and into sawyers and after yelling at him they end up uhh.. well. yeah…
4. Jack finds his door mysteriously open, goes to get a gun, and then finds the monitor room, and sees Kate and sawyer together snuggling. And then Ben shows up and Jack tells him. “Tomorrow”
5. So now jacks gonna do the surgery, Ben goes to sleep and jack starts operating.
6. The loser dude I don’t like (danny?) goes out and is about to shoot sawyer when Jack cuts an incision in bens liver sac? and radios danny that if he doesn’t do what he says Ben is going to die
7. So Kate and sawyer are now about to run, and when they get free they will radio jack to tell him that their safe and jack will fix Ben. …. maybe.

So there are a lot of unanswered questions. I guess we’ll just have to wait till FEBUARY to find out.

Last weeks lost didn’t do much, it showed us a few things.

1.) Loch isn’t exactly the goody good hero we thought of him as. He picks up and undercover cop as a hitchhiker and takes him back to his “home” where they are growing some MARIJUANA. (Marijuana whatever I don’t know the exact drug)

2.) There’s still a polar bear on the island, and it likes to eat Eko.

Annndd that’s about it. Loch saved Eko from a polar bear, and Loch knew that the polar bear took him because he went into his lil hut thing, got high, and had a “vision”

This weeks lost. Showed us a lot of Sawyer, how he was in jail earlier, conned a fellow inmate out of 10 million, to get himself out of jail, and donated some of the money to his new discovered daughter, as long as the donation remained anonymous.

1.) Jack was brought in to help save the “other” who got shot but couldn’t do it, and she died.

2.) Kate and Sawyer now know that Jack is alive.

3.) Sawyer is easily fooled into thinking he has a pacemaker inside of him, when he really doesn’t. Which keeps him under control for a good while.

4.) Kate can possibly escape when she wants too, but it’s doubtful she’d get very far. (BECAUSE there are TWO islands, one where the survivors are, and one where the “others” are. The distance between them is more than alcatraz, so there is no hope of getting home.

5.) X-rays on the wall showed that somone (supposively Ben) has a tumor on their spine, and jack just happens to be a spinal suergeon. hmmm.
In my opinion, Lost started with a disappointing season opening, but looks like it is slowly getting better. However I would like to see less of Kate and Sawyer, and more of Jack, and more of the other survivors.

I took the liberty of every thursday (or wendsday night depending on time) to write a post discussing the nights LOST episode, what we learned, what are questions, overview, etc. Everyone can feel free to contribute.

I’ll begin with the season finale.

• Michael led Hurley, Jack, Kate, and Sawyer to the others. The others captured them, released hurley, and let michael and walt go home with a boat.
• Desmond turned the “exploding key” that did something really weird and the only person we know survived was charlie. Desmond, Loch, and Eko remain a mystery.
• Sun, Jin, and Sayid took the sailboat to the “others” part of the island, and found a fake village.

Now in the first episode of the new season, we found out one. The show hardly told us anything, except that they really wanted to advertise stuff. Yet it did raise more questions

Things that were actually found out
1. Henrys name is really Ben
2. Jacks divorced.. and obsessed. And its REALLY funny when he tackles his dad.
3. Theyre doing something to kate during the next two weeks that are gonna suck
4. Sawyers not getting out anytime soon (like the first guy who tried to escape)
5. Theres some kind of neighberhood with ovens and electricity etr some where on this larger than life island.
6. Sawyer isnt as smart as bears. (however he is funnier.)

Now for last nights episode. We learned.

• The others just stole the sailboat
• Sun shot one of them
• Jin and Sun almost have their stupid relationship crap worked out
• Sayid isnt smart all the time
• The others can leave (supposively) anytime they want, they have contact with the outside world (HA the red sox won, yeah right.)
• For some reason Kate and Sawyer have to do useless work all day, while jack just chills in his lil aquarium sub thing.
• There was a shark with the dharma sign on it earlier, and a polar bear before that.. and theyre keeping sawyer in the “bears cage” and jack is under water, presumably where the shark was. Did they let the animals go?
• Once again, who are these others and WHY ARE THEY HERE.
• Is jack going to obey Ben’s commands and try to get himself home?
• Will Ben really let jack go home?

More will hopefully be revealed as the season continues. Next week there will be another article on that LOST, look for Ty’s weekly editorial on Lost, every thursday at 3:45 e. 2:45 c.

Even while showing re-runs the show Lost on ABC continues to amaze me. As i mentioned before, about once every show (recently) a commercial has come on for the “hanso foundation” talking about improving the human race or something, then at the end, it has a different thing every time. Once it was a phone number (1-877-hansorg[still working]) or websites (www.hansorg.com (no longer working) and www.hansocareers.com) Last night as i was watching a previous episode from the season that I hadn’t seen yet, the commercial came on, and at the end gave a new website. www.retrieversoftruth.com I went to it last night and although doesnt tell me much, its fun to watch each week and go to the “secret website” sometimes websites like www.hansorg.com while it was still functioning gave many clues. Sometimes the websites like retrivers of truth leave you with questions. I just found it interesting that a show can provide you with entertainment during the show, and afterwards.
