We are not going out of town for Thanksgiving. We are staying at our own new house for the holiday (which house will hopefully be ours tomorrow)! We are sad not to visit the McC side of the family during the holidays, and the other relatives that will be there…. But we plan on getting together with people around here during that time, especially anyone who is visiting from out-of-town (we won’t mention any names, but we know of someone who will be here whose name starts with “Steph”)! So let us know if you want to get together, anyone!

VPU Problems
Hey all you computer people out there. I need some help. I just got Battlefield 2 again after a break, and was making sure eveything was setup correctly by playing a round, when BAM! Long freeze frame, then green squares everywhere. When I exited BF2 I found a VPU recovery screen from ATI. What the heck is the deal!? I downloaded the most recent ATI drivers (6.9) and patched BF2 to 1.4 and tried again today, still no luck. I have an ATI X800 XL PCI. I am running Daemon tools to mount disc 1 for loading, but that shouldn’t matter??? Any ideas?

(not cropped sorry for the load time)
Well, I’m back, not that anyone missed me. Joy didn’t even write how sad and lonely and depressed she was on the blog… b/c she wasn’t. I went to CA yesterday to pick up a large gift from Momma and Pappa T. Jason McG, and Dustin came with me. We had a grand time, Dustin even won the game of 500 on the beach, even though I had a billion and a half points. We are home safe now so no worries, and we have a minivan! Holy smokes, I’ve never seen Joy so excited! She can’t wait to drive it around. Well, I”m going to bed now b/c my codrivers told me this morning they weren’t going to drive, and I thought they were kidding……
The Weekly LOST
I took the liberty of every thursday (or wendsday night depending on time) to write a post discussing the nights LOST episode, what we learned, what are questions, overview, etc. Everyone can feel free to contribute.
I’ll begin with the season finale.
- Michael led Hurley, Jack, Kate, and Sawyer to the others. The others captured them, released hurley, and let michael and walt go home with a boat.
- Desmond turned the “exploding key” that did something really weird and the only person we know survived was charlie. Desmond, Loch, and Eko remain a mystery.
- Sun, Jin, and Sayid took the sailboat to the “others” part of the island, and found a fake village.
Now in the first episode of the new season, we found out one. The show hardly told us anything, except that they really wanted to advertise stuff. Yet it did raise more questions
Things that were actually found out
1. Henrys name is really Ben
2. Jacks divorced.. and obsessed. And its REALLY funny when he tackles his dad.
3. Theyre doing something to kate during the next two weeks that are gonna suck
4. Sawyers not getting out anytime soon (like the first guy who tried to escape)
5. Theres some kind of neighberhood with ovens and electricity etr some where on this larger than life island.
6. Sawyer isnt as smart as bears. (however he is funnier.)
Now for last nights episode. We learned.
- The others just stole the sailboat
- Sun shot one of them
- Jin and Sun almost have their stupid relationship crap worked out
- Sayid isnt smart all the time
- The others can leave (supposively) anytime they want, they have contact with the outside world (HA the red sox won, yeah right.)
- For some reason Kate and Sawyer have to do useless work all day, while jack just chills in his lil aquarium sub thing.
- There was a shark with the dharma sign on it earlier, and a polar bear before that.. and theyre keeping sawyer in the “bears cage” and jack is under water, presumably where the shark was. Did they let the animals go?
- Once again, who are these others and WHY ARE THEY HERE.
- Is jack going to obey Ben’s commands and try to get himself home?
- Will Ben really let jack go home?
More will hopefully be revealed as the season continues. Next week there will be another article on that LOST, look for Ty’s weekly editorial on Lost, every thursday at 3:45 e. 2:45 c.
Announcement
There’s good news and bad news to this announcement. The good news is that Chase now has 3 teeth! The bad news is that he still hasn’t taken to the cereal very well yet, which means that his primary food source is you-know-who, which means PAIN for you-know-who….
Nearest metropolis getting a face lift
Hearing the announcement a while ago that the LDS church bought a huge chunk of downtown, I wondered what they would do with it. A few days ago, they released the details. I found them to be amazing.
Quote: “A premier retail, office and residential development will rise on nearly 20 acres across three blocks in the heart of Salt Lake City over the next five years, making the city one of few in the nation with a vibrant, mixed development of this scale at its core.
Demolition of part of the site will begin early next month, starting in the northwest portion of the redevelopment area. A progressive wave of demolition will move roughly west to east, followed by excavation and site preparation that will take about a year.
As outlined by Bishop Burton, the project will include:
* Up to three national department stores to anchor a retail component that will include a complement of nationally recognized in-line retail tenants.
* New, refurbished and renamed office towers.
* New residential buildings.
* A full-service grocery store to serve a growing downtown population.
* The reopening or extension of historic downtown streets as pedestrian walkways through two of the blocks — Richards Street, Regent Street and Social Hall Avenue.
* Fountains and man-made streams to represent the historic South Fork of City Creek supplemented by approximately six acres of gardens and open space.
* Underground parking to accommodate some 5,600 vehicles “

Help me please
I need help deciding. I found the perfect song to set as Cotton’s ringtone.
Which one is better? (They will repeat one time for cell phone ringing effect)
Let me know if you want the mp3 for your phone!
We had an exciting thing happen today. We officially got a second stroller! It looks like the one pictured, except the upholstery colors are pale yellow and cornflower blue/gray. See, we do already have a jogger stroller, but it’s rather big and bulky, so this stroller will be one that we can easily take places (supposedly it weighs 9-10 lbs.). It will be perfect for taking to the mall with Aunt Rachel! 😉 The lady we bought it from said she’s had 6 strollers at once before! We don’t need that many; two will suffice. But I am very excited about this acquistion, much more than my husband Pace is. I found this very gently used Peg-Perego product on Craig’s List for $85, but I offered $70 and got it! Yeah, baby! It normally retails for about $200 so I’m KINDA proud of this find. But anyway. I only look at Craig’s List about twice a day these days, so…. good thing I’ve bought 2 things off it to make it all worth my while!
My “Soap Opera”
I just had a thought as I was washing my face before “retiring” for the night (well, at least until Chase wakes up again, anyway). But my thought was about facewash and other soaps. Pace and I just use hand soap to wash our faces. We use dish soap to wash our hands when in the kitchen. I use hair conditioner to shave my legs. Are these foreign concepts, I wonder? I mean, if nothing else, I’ll just have softer, shinier leg hairs as they grow back, right? 😉 I think that Pace and I partly do all this to save money, but also because I despise having too much stuff all over the place and just choose to simplify. So back to the facewash thing, is facewash really necessary for a semi-clean face, or is it just another money-sucking scheme? I had some acne as a teenager, and none of the facewashes seemed to do a thing. Now, even though I just use plain old hand soap to clean my face, I rarely get zits (probably more due my current hormones, but that’s another story for another day). Besides, facewash containers always claim to be miracle-workers, saying that they clean “deep down to the pores” and I don’t know about everyone else, but my pores are just right there on my facial surface, not deep down anywhere. When I was in Costa Rica, I wanted to buy some facewash, and went to two different stores just to see many store clerks’ confused faces as I asked about it and proceeded to explain what it was exactly. They would always just eventually direct me to the body wash… I felt somewhat panicked at the time, and I think I later found some kind of cleansing face lotion or something weird like that… But it made me think, why do we use facewash? And why don’t we just use one soap for everything, or at least one kitchen soap and one bathroom soap, rather than having dish soap, hand soap, facewash, body wash, body soap, shampoo, leg shaving gel….. etc etc etc?
