Update on the Chase Boy

                  DSC02874       DSC02866       DSC02869

See that cute little guy up there? (<referring to Chase) He is 2 1/2 and he definitely acts his age. He has been keeping us on our toes lately with his constant questions and contradicting what we say. To sum it up, Chase is entertaining, opinionated, curious, talkative, clever, energetic, and wild. So far, he’s been such a challenge in our lives (especially in the SLEEP department) yet he’s been such a joy. It really is true that children are the most difficult yet the most rewarding undertaking in life!

In less than a month now, we’re going to be entering a new phase of life– having another child join our family. I’m feeling a little pensive or anxious or something… but mostly I am freaking out! I can’t even imagine having another little one to take care of– please let her be a calm little one, and a good sleeper!!! We have plenty of energy and excitement in the house with Chase as it is! He has been really excited all along about having a baby sister, and we just hope that will continue after she actually arrives!

For now, Chase has me all to himself all day, and he LOVES helping me bake and cook in the kitchen (he’s always very careful and methodical– I love it)!

And by the way, here are a few of Chase’s latest "creations" (that I actually thought to snag photos of)! He loves lining things up, counting them, rearranging them, etc.

–Pennies and tokens on stairs:

–Fruit snacks on chairs (I’m sad that he’s grown out of calling them "Shoot nats"):

And just today I pulled back the covers of our bed to find this nice little death trap:

Very clever, Chase!!! 🙂

Mac users beware, officially

Dec 2nd, Apple revamped their security advice, saying “Oops, turns out that macs are not invincible, please install as many anti virus things as possible.
– source

Comments form other sites: Apple’s advice to use multiple antivirus products may signal the end of an era of carefree computing for Mac users, many of whom have never bothered to install antivirus software. Consider that last week,CA (NSDQ: CA) identified two new Mac OS X Trojans.

“Mac OS X threats are still incomparable to Windows threats, but with the growing popularity of Mac systems we are unfortunately seeing attackers taking more interest,” the CA blog post said.

PS. This ad from ’06 isn’t true, never was

Game changer

Few things come around that alter the commercial space. Giving things away for free that usually cost money, always makes a big splash. (Bless you google). I wanted to update you on this potentially HUGE game changer. If successful one company will provide free internet access across america. Now I’ve talked about this before but the difference is, it’s voting time.

First proposed in 2006, the plan calls for a chunk of airwaves called AWS-3 (now idle) to be used for wireless broadband across the USA. Under terms contemplated by the FCC, the winner of the AWS-3 auction would have to reserve at least 25% of network capacity for free broadband.

The winner would be allowed to charge for other services, including premium broadband that would offer faster speeds.

Assuming there are no last-minute snags, the AWS-3 auction will take place next year.

That’s AWESOME! That means all your devices will have network capabilities. So those outragous prices for mobile data plans, those always fluctuating comcast internet bills, the lame DSL speeds, will all have to compete with FREE. So, is anyone else excited about this?
