To Pre-wash, or Not to Pre-wash?
I have a question to raise here: When you, personally, buy new clothes, do you wash them before you wear them? As for me, I usually like to wash new clothes if I’m already doing the laundry anyway, but if I’m excited to wear the new item and it’s not laundry day, then I go ahead and wear it. It seems like it’s not a bad idea to pre-wash, though. Just think about it… Someone with bad B.O. might have tried on that shirt just before you bought it, and if your nose is congested due to a bad cold that day, you will be unaware of your personal stench. In other words, if you haven’t pre-washed it, you’ll stink– You’ll stink bad. And people will refer to you as The Stinker. I chose to wash our new baby clothes, my reasoning being that then the baby will smell fresh and feel soft. However, Pace felt that new clothes are clean enough, so why wash them? I don’t want people to take sides here, because Pace and I are best friends, but just to say what you tend to do.
“The End is Near”
No, not the end of pregnancy this time, the end of the mac/pc berlin wall. I had to take a fast break from work to write about Apple releasing software that will run Windows XP! For those not familiar with computers this is a BIG deal, now macs will have a choice to run Mac software or run windows software on mac hardware. The OS control software is called boot camp. Boot camp will be integrated into the new Mac OS coming out around January. Check it out, and post what you think this will do to the computer industry. (Apple stocks up almost 5 bucks already)
P.S. HAPPY BIRTHDAY PAUL!
Thoughts about Conference
Last weekend was the 176th annual general conference of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Joy and I enjoyed listening to men and women that we know are called of God to teach His principles and help remind us of His teachings. One such talk from Brother Stone, not only entertained me, but helped to remind me of what is really important in life. He described the motivations of people and how we are all influenced by external and internal forces. He then discussed some ways we can keep ourselves focused and act the way WE want to, not the way the influences direct us to. This helped remind me that I don’t need new ram for my already sufficient computer, and we don’t need the JEEP baby stroller. Those are just commercials and ads influencing me! Things that will help us but also allow us to live within our means will be just fine. Well, I really liked it, if you want to watch the whole talk, check out Elder Stone on LDS.org or to listen to one of my favorite parts, click on the snippet below.
[audio:longclip.mp3]Happy Birthday, Pace!
No, Chase hasn’t been born yet. But it IS Pace’s birthday on Wednesday! This is a reminder to all of you good-hearted folks out there reading this fabulous blog that April 5th is Pace’s 25th birthday! So be sure and call him, email him, come over and sing to him, comment on our blog, and/or give him money.
Near the end
Joy is nearing the end of pregnancy, it is officially the month that Chase will be born. Please post the date you think Joy will give birth to Chase. Just some background data that would be useful, her due date is the 18th/19th. Pace and his brothers were all early (just kidding) Joy and her sisters were all late (just kidding again). The moon is in the 3rd phase and diamonds are the birth stone of April. He will be an Aries unless he’s really late… and you can make up any other info you think will help support your guess.
Don’t Forget!
Just a friendly reminder to stay up till 2am tonight so you can set your clock ahead one hour.
New McBlog Protocol
Well, I’ve had to turn on comment moderation again because too many viagra spammers have been trying to post comments. What does that mean? Not much… except now when you post a comment, the computer won’t post it immediately unless you have had a previous comment approved. So use the same personal info when you post, such as Name and email and you won’t notcie a difference at all. Thanks
What’s the Deal!?
Ok, I’m a little peeved off and disappointed. One of McBlog’s biggest fans is doing a serious wrong and I’m here to voice my opinion about it. Ryan Gardner started and operates RyeBrye.com. He has done an amazing job (besides the slow server), and clearly has inspired many people to get online. BUT here is the problem, when you go to RyeBrye.com there is no evidence that Ryan has helped anyone, because the only lnks on his site, are ADS! AND, if you notice, Ryan is the only one in any of the pictures… where’s his wife Aubrey!? I tell you this is a serious offense. Join me in my efforts to make a difference and bring Aubrey to RyeBrye.com.
