Sheesh, long night.

Pulled a long night adding voice overs to VegasBrides.com sales videos. Jason McG was doing the voice overs and ladies I’ve found out that midnight is when he can no longer smooth talk. Listen to him try to say a simple website name.

Club question

Hey ya’ll who golf. I’m investigating a set of clubs for sale, the are Nicklaus Signature Series, new for 2006. Comes with 20 clubs (3 drivers:adjustable weight, under cut steel shaft irons, graphite shaft hybrid iron woods, putter), and delux standing bag for $250. Are these any good? Have you heard of earlier versions of these clubs? click on the name to see what they look like, as of today they don’t have info posted on the Signature series.

The first set of clubs I think is important b/c it shapes the enjoyment level for the rest of the game. Cheap clubs=more frustration=never playing again. Maybe that would be a good thing… but I’d like to get into some clubs for 250 or less, that will be excellent clubs for the next 15 years. Comment away so I have some info, like what do you use, do you like them/why, how long have you had them, etc. Thanks

Week Update

Well, it’s Sunday. We have had a great week. March started, McMom is here, Joy had a baby shower, and the weather is warming up. McMom got here Tues night late, and has been having a good time since then. She enjoyed coming to primary with us today at church to see the kids we always talk about. Amanda threw Joy a baby shower last night. They had fun, I didn’t go, maybe she’ll post more details later. Meanwhile,  Joy is teaching mom how to make awesome parmesian chicken later tonight and I’m toying  with the idea of making this a family blog and letting anyone who is a mcculloch be an author, b/c I haven’t been posting as much. What do ya’ll think about that? Ok we’re out.

Comcastic

Dearly beloved, I’m sorry we’ve been offline for a while. Our comcast cable modem committed suicide, thus causing us to be unable to post for a few days. Please forgive Comcast, we are up and running again. Thank you for supporing us during our rehab.

We would also like to take this time to inform anyone who is still trying to figure this blog stuff out. If you read a post and want to say something about it, you look for the smaller words below the post that has a number then the words comments, i.e. “2 comments >>”. You then click on that which loads a new page. On the new page you scroll down and fill in the text boxes. Name, email, and your message. I think you only have to enter these one time, since the browser will autofill them for you next time… is that right? then you hit submit… that’s it! Unless you have included vulgar words, porn, or anything else I don’t like, your comment will show up immediately. Then others can comment on what you said! Try it now!

Balderdash 2 scores

Points

Good turn out this time… and the winner is…….. Ryan!

Actual answer: “Trailer Hitch Manufacturers Association”
Here’s how the scoring breaks down in a game where the points don’t really matter. Ryan gets 9000 points for answering first and being very clever; and for getting (or just by chance) McGowan to guess the exact same thing. McGowan gets 2 points for guessing the wrong answer. Ty gets -500 points for knowing that homosexuals have an association. Cotton gets 8300 points for having “Thee” in his answer. Darin scored 4787 points for including the greatest sport on earth. Yancy had 8933 points but lost 4453 points for posting multiple times, but gained 4454 points for stating that the rules were posted clearly. Steph lost any points she had left over from winning last time for guessing multiple times, posting a question in the Balderdash section and for giving Yancy a pet name of “Yance”. Thanks for playing, you guys have been great. We’ll see you next time!

Beyond Balderdash 2

INITIALS = T.H.M.A.

Balderdash rules (for those who’ve never played): “The main objective is to make up answers that will bluff other players, as well as for choosing the real and often unbelievable answer. ONE per person.

WORDS- What is the definition?
PEOPLE – What is the person known for?
INITIALS- What do they stand for?
MOVIES- What is this movie about?
DATES- What happend on this day?”

Apple Event, next week!

“Tuesday, members of the press received an invite to “come see some fun new products from Apple” on February 28 (more details here). Unlike many of the release events in the past couple of years, this latest enticement directs us to Apple’s Town Hall on the Cupertino campus. Recent rumors that the company filed a patent for a touch-screen interface for the iPod have fueled the buzz that a sixth-gen iPod is in the works. Is that what Apple will show off to the press next Tuesday?” What do you think?

Beyond Balderdash Score

Welcome to McBlog Beyond Balderdash, where the points really don’t matter. And the real definition that I choose previous to posting was: a Canadian word for making out.

PointsHere’s the score for this weeks game, if you didn’t post, try to read MCBlog more frequently. Thanks to all those who played. Currently, Cotton has 5000 points for being funny, close to the real asnwer, and rhyming. Joy had 7000 points but lost 6001 because she called names; leaving her with 999. Ryan Gardner had 3000 points, lost 3001 for saying he was right, but gained 601 for saying he had documentation. Jason McG has 0 points b/c after I told him the answer he posted it. Steph Z has 1000 points for describing the thing that everyone hates touching when they have to reach into the disposal. Good work everyone, so the winners in alphabetical order are: Cotton, Joy, Ryan G., Steph Z.
