I’ve heard recently how people enjoy watching the movies over and over again and laughing at with our kid. I wanted everyone to know after a lot of work, the McVideo section is now revamped and optimized for rewatching videos. If it weren’t so dang cold in my home office right now, I would have them all auto rotating so you don’t have to push anything; maybe when it warms up…. Let me know if you find any problems with it! Enjoy
Those less fortunate
For those of you who can’t visit as often as you like, there are two new videos of Chase. Click on McVideos on the left nav bar.
Apple Releases Revolutionary Products
Yesterday Apple released the Apple TV product and the iPhone. We luckily had an affiliate at Mac World to give us a first hand report. Exclusively from Josh Porter:
“They did it! Apple made an iPhone! Just as cool, Dad, Ed, and I were among the first public eyes to see it unveiled by the hand of Steve Jobs himself in the Keynote address at MacWorld here in San Fransisco in the Mascone Center! The foyers were filled with giant posters of a silhouetted Apple icon and the logo “The first 30 years were just the beginning. Welcome to 2007.” It was just exciting to walk into the room where a small stage was surrounded by three giant screens with the Apple logo and lots of energy with all 4,000 Mac users in the room, waiting for Steve to come out. An added anticipation was there for this much rumored device over the last year and especially the last few months. When Steve came out, (this was the first time I saw Steve Jobs in person) the crowed cheered and he was very happy to say, “Were going to make history together today.” The crowed cheered even louder. Some guy behgind me said, “Don’t tease me, Steve!” He talked about the iPod growth, then he introduced the Apple TV, and showed us the pretty cool features of it.
Then he mentioned how in 1984, Apple introduced the Macintosh (which presentation I viewed on You Tube just a few days earlier, which was funny to see people’s amazement to what we consider commonplace now..the first consumer GUI[Graphical User Interface] computer.) Then Steve spoke about in 2001 when they introduced the iPod. So he was lining up the history of how Apple has introduced these revolutionary products. It was cool to reiew how they had innovated these products we use now. Then on his Keynote he pulled slide up with the Apple sillotte. Now people were really in suspense. But then he said they were going to unvile three new products today. A new iPod, a Phone (people really cheered…Our hopes and dreams were finally confirmed!), and mobile internet device. Again the crowed cheered. Then he said all three of these new products were in one device!
A Kitchen Miracle
I just wanted to tell about the exciting experience I had a couple days ago in the kitchen… I turned a burner on, on the “high” setting to boil water for some frozen corn. I knew it would take a few minutes to heat up, so I went over to the carpeted area to play with Chase since I had been “neglecting him” to make some food. A few minutes later when I glanced up at the stove, I realized that not only had I turned on the wrong burner, it also happened have a glass Pyrex pan on it, with cake in it and foil over it. Horrified, I jumped up, quickly put on an oven mitt, and picked the glass pan up off the burner so it wouldn’t heat any more than it already had. About two seconds after I picked up, the pan exploded into a thousand pieces, all over the kitchen. I stood there in shock for a few moments, then ran over to pick up Chase who had started crying due to the overwhelming sound of exploding glass. At that point I just turned off the burner and walked out of the kitchen. I had already been dealing with a pretty bad migraine, so basically I was a little distracted and just didn’t want to do any more damage for the day… Later, when Pace had gotten home and we were picking burnt glass out of our precious linoleum and removing burnt cake from the counters, I realized that it was a miracle that I didn’t have shards of hot glass lodged into my face. I was especially grateful that Chase wasn’t in his usual spot during dinner-making time, that spot being in the kitchen, exploring the drawers and cabinets by my feet. We were protected from the evil exploding glass, and I am very thankful for that!
Yet another sexy McCulloch
Just wanted to let everyone know that Tyler got his braces off and has emerged from the metal as sexy as his older brothers.
Why can’t I own Ebay? Then I wouldn’t be so mad when they increase the insertion fee by five cents, and the final value fee by .5%!!! Oh Pace, what’s five cents? Well, .05 x 500,000 users is $25,000. Which is probably how many listing are posted each day, so I would say a five cent increase would be about $750,000 big ones a month… just in increases… does that make anyone else angry!? In an email to Ebay members, Bill Cobb (ebay owner) says:
“These adjustments are the result of careful analysis and we believe they’re the right thing to do to keep the marketplace strong for our eBay.com and eBay Motors sellers.”
Well duh! Any increase multiplied by the millions of users you have is the right thing to make your financial power stronger!!
Well… you have until Jan 30th to list without the extra fees, as for me… I’m well beyond starting to not like Ebay. Anyone got any Ebay alternatives out there?
Chase likes dancing
Getting it from his mother, Chase has taken up dancing anytime he hears music. Even when the phone rings. It’s very funny, he usually sits and waves his arms faster than the human eye can record. This video catches a rare crawl position dance move, if he were a teenager I think it would be called ‘freaking’ or something.
