McBalderdash Scores

SPITCHOCK = An eel split open and broiled. Congrats to Tmomma who wins with 40,000 points!

Here’s the point break down for the rest of us: Pace: 39,000 points for being the first of many to talk about spitting. Jason: 20,000 points for something. Tmomma: 60,000 points for actually coming up with an answer that didn’t have to do with the bodily function of spit; -20,000 for cheering for Yancy after he didn’t submit a definition. Cotton: 29,000 for being funny. Tyler: -20 points for thinking Cotton actually wrote an answer and I edited it. And 19 points for saying Pace’s answer in a different way. Yancy:80,000 points for voting for someone else; -66,666 for not submitting a definition.

Thanks for playing everyone!

Loyalty to Sony!

Whenever possible now, this family will be buying Sony electronics. We purchased a cybershot camera off ebay, about three weeks ago I had it in my pocket and while getting out of the car the camera and my thigh produced a pressure crack on the LCD screen. I was very sad, thinking there was no hope of a cheap fix. I looked up Sony’s website to check out the warranty. The product was under some kind of warranty, so I filled out a repair order form thinking I wouldn’t get it for free b/c it was my fault; but they would fix it cheaper than buying a new one. Well, we sent it off to them and they got it on Thursday the 16th, yesterday we got it back completely fixed for no charge! WOW I was shocked, thank you SONY you rock. I was very impressed with the speed and ease of getting our awesome SONY gear fixed.

Trophy for You

I would just like to take a moment to thank the Terribilinis for their sudden flood (aka deluge) of participation, and all others who read and comment on our blog. We feel the love. I also like the extra drama it creates. The trophy pictured here is for each of you! To anyone who reads our blog and never comments, I rebuke you, meaning NO trophy. Thank you, and have a nice day.

Married Lessons

Marriage Lesson

“Do not expect perfection in your choice of a mate. Do not be so concerned about his physical appearance and his bank account that you overlook his more important qualities. Of course, he should be attractive to you, and he should be able to financially provide for you. But does he have a strong testimony? Does he live the principles of the gospel and magnify his priesthood? Is he active in his ward and stake? Does he love his home and family, and will he be a faithful husband and good father? These are the qualities that really matter.” –President Ezra Taft Benson, To the Single Adult Sisters of the Church, 9/24/88)

I like this quote because I think that people from our generation who are even interested in marriage at all are too focused on finding someone who is “perfect”, extremely good looking, or with a lot of money/financial security, which things can be desirable in this life, it’s true. However, these types of features are fleeting and shaky; they can change at any time, and don’t last into eternity anyway. I feel extremely blessed to be married to a guy who fulfills these types of eternal goals and who is a great husband and future father in the ways that truly matter. Yes, once again, I’m bragging about Pace! 😉

Happy Birthday to me!

I am really thrilled right now because I feel a great weight lifted off my shoulders. You see, I have had a large trial in my life, that trial being a desire for sports. I have played many a sport in my time, only to be disgusted and dismayed by the amount of time and effort it took to find players. I have had to return them, get rid of them, etc., with a great lump of sorrow in my throat. But don’t worry any longer. All my problems are now solved, because Joy bought me something I have desired for many days: a set of golf clubs, brand new out of Costco! I love em. I just used em and my drive was completely pin straight after about 2 strokes, versus about 20 strokes that it used to take me. The main differences between these and a some used clubs are that they’re 100% new, very durable, fast, and I gets really good shots, so no waviness will be left behind after the swing is finished. Thanks, Joy

ps –if you would like to donate to Pace’s birthday present, please email Joy

Merry Christmas to Me!

I am really thrilled right now because I feel a great weight lifted off my shoulders.  You see, I have had a large trial in my life, that trial being wavy, thick hair that cannot be tamed by a typical flat iron.  I have bought many a straightener in my time, only to be disgusted and dismayed by the amount of time and effort it took to tame these locks.  I have had to return them, get rid of them, etc., with a great lump of sorrow in my throat.   But don’t worry any longer.  All my problems are now solved, because Pace bought me something I have desired for many years: a Farouk Chi Turbo 1″ flat iron, brand new off EBay!  I love it.  I just used it and my hair was completely pin straight after about 5 minutes’ work, versus about 20 minutes that it used to take me.  The main differences between this and a regular flat iron are that it’s 100% ceramic, it’s very durable, it heats up really fast, and it gets really hot so no waviness will be left behind after its job is finished.  Thanks, Pace!

To Vegas or not to Vegas

Here is an update to raise more questions for our life. Bizsight Communications (Pace’s possible employer) is in the process of attaining an office in Orem, Utah. This means that we will either still move to Vegas to work there, or stay in Utah Valley area to work at the Orem office. Very interesting. Stay tuned to see what happens.

Yet another Story

Sorry for the frequent posts, but I found a verrrry interesting story or two from last night. So as most of the McCullochs who have lived in our house know.. our power goes out quite often. For some reason our circut thingy just isn’t very good. So it’s Sunday night, having family home evening, and talking about how to recognize spirits, good and bad. Dad goes “And remember when there’s a bad spirit, you’ll shake his hand and you can’t feel it. KAAWHOM! Every light in the house (and half of charlotte) goes out. Dad then says “Well lets NOT TRY IT NOW” Yes that was funny, now on to story numero dos! So we didn’t know that more than just our neighberhood was out, when our good friend johnny calls. He asks if we have power. That’s wierd because the Williams NEVER lose power. We usually go to their house when we lose power. So we decided to go out driving, to see how much was out. We get in the car with flashlights and all and drive out. We see over half the arboretum is completely dark, and everything past that was also. (locals: taco bell’s side and on was out, wal mart and past was still on) So we drive around and decide to stop at the Williams just for the heck of it. Dad suggests we go around the back to scare the crap out of them.. heh heh heh. So we do, we go around very stealthily, walk onto the deck and point flash lights into their house, we see Johnny jump, and run upstairs, we keep doing it and see elizabeth jump too. So we decided we were done and went to the front. We get to the door to find elizabeth standing there on the phone and when she sees us DIVES to the floor in the room next to her. Then when we knock on the door she peeks out, sees us, opens the door, and screams at us. We then hear the story of how johnny saw a light, ran upstairs and got out his super sharp knife (it’ll kill somone) and elizabeth told their parents, who both didn’t believe them. It reminded us of one of those movies were kids are actualy telling the truth but the parents don’t believe them so the kids are left to save the world. Yes well sorry for such a long post. But it was an extensive story.
